Carolyn A. Miller has extensive experience in federal securities law as it applies to investment advisers registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the funds they manage, including hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds and closed-end real estate funds. Carolyn began her legal career as an attorney with the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance, where she was awarded the Vice President of the United States’ Plain Language Award and the SEC Chairman’s Plain English Award. Carolyn subsequently served as Counsel to the Chairman of a national securities exchange, Chief Compliance Officer for an investment adviser to mutual funds, and Chief Legal Officer for an investment adviser to multiple private funds with a total of $7 billion under management. Carolyn earned her law degree, with honors, from Brooklyn Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida.
