Suzie is active in the pursuit of practicing law differently and has been working as a pioneer in the virtual law firm space for more than twenty years and is an advocate for legal industry change. Suzie has been recognized for her commitment to military spouses and received the prestigious “Emery K. Harlan Trailblazer Award” from the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) in 2023 in recognition of creating a unique virtual law firm that fosters a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture and workforce, along with her leadership among women and minority owned businesses. Suzie has co-authored a book published by the ABA, entitled FINDING BLISS: Innovative Legal Models for Happy Clients Happy Lawyers. She is a proponent of alternative legal fees and developing innovative legal solutions.

Suzie specializes in commercial transactions, legal process management and high-volume workflows for financial services companies. Before establishing SRD Legal Group, Suzie co-founded Bliss Lawyers in 2011, a virtual secondment firm employing high caliber attorneys to work on an engagement basis. In 2020, Bliss Lawyers was acquired by Axiom, the global leader in on-demand legal talent. Prior to joining the virtual law firm world, she worked as a traditional lawyer at the law firms Sullivan & Cromwell and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. She also worked at the National Association of Securities Dealers (predecessor to FINRA) and in the New York State Executive Chamber of Governor Mario M. Cuomo as a Press Aide. Suzie earned her law degree in 1995 from Fordham Law School where she served as the Annual Survey Editor of the Fordham Law Review and was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Torts and Criminal Law. She received her B.A. in medieval studies from Sarah Lawrence College in 1992 with honors. Suzie is also a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program which is a scholarship-based entrepreneurship program for business owners.
