Eileen King Gillis has over 25 years' experience specializing in technology and intellectual property law. Key areas of her practice include: Technology Transactions (specifically, ERP procurement, development, implementation and licensing, SaaS/PaaS, OEM, outsourcing, consulting services and other professional services); Intellectual Property (prosecution, litigation and licensing); Trademark Portfolio Management; Development Agreements; Due Diligence; Privacy Law; Cybersecurity and Data Protection; Confidentiality Agreements and Commercial Transactions.
She has represented a broad portfolio of businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies involved in insurance, healthcare, medical device manufacturing, logistics, health and wellness products, industrial and consumer products, software suppliers and service providers, entertainment and performing artists. Eileen received a B.S. in Economics from Santa Clara University, cum laude, and her J.D. at Duke University School of Law, with high honors. She has been a professor and guest lecturer at Guilford College (Business Ethics), University of North Carolina at Charlotte, School of Engineering (Legal Issues in Engineering Management), and Wake Forest University School of Law (Internet Business Law). Eileen is admitted to practice in the States of New York, North Carolina and California.
