Ilyssa has practiced law for more than 20 years, leading and supporting various organizations in the financial services sector, with a focus on legal and regulatory compliance, general corporate law, contracts review and negotiation, risk management, and business strategy. Ilyssa provides experienced in-house legal support to mature and growth-stage financial services and technology companies. She previously served as the General Counsel of a mission-driven Registered Investment Adviser and as the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer for a leading provider of working capital solutions for small businesses. In those roles, Ilyssa oversaw all company legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance and fundraising, intellectual property, privacy, and employment law. Ilyssa was also a Director and Associate General Counsel at Citi where she spent over a decade advising the firm on complex legal issues related to the broker-dealer, bank, RIA, and insurance agency businesses. Ilyssa started her career in public service as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County. She brings a diverse perspective and collaborative approach to her work.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, Ilyssa received her J.D. from New York Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York.

When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
