Melissa Savage Shiffman is the Talent Acquisitions Director, where she leads all recruiting at the law firm. She was previously Of Counsel to the firm, primarily concentrating on the review and negotiation of confidentiality agreements. Prior to joining SRD, Melissa was a Talent Officer at Bliss Lawyers specializing in placement of attorney candidates at law firms and in in-house counsel positions. For over 14 years, Melissa worked in Robinson+Cole’s Business Litigation Practice Group, starting as an Associate and then as Counsel. Melissa’s practice focused on representing large corporate clients in a variety of complex commercial litigation disputes and she has extensive experience during all phases of litigation and arbitration proceedings. In particular, Melissa’s experience included representing clients in the managed care industry in a multitude of breach of contract and fraud disputes concerning the unique business relationships among managed care companies, hospitals, physicians, ambulatory facilities, third-party administrators, and drug companies. Melissa began her legal career at Kasowitz where she assisted the trial team in a complex high profile multi-million dollar toxic tort trial. She received her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a member of the Cardozo Women’s Law Journal. She received her B.A., cum laude, in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of Psi Chi, the National Undergraduate Psychology Honor Society.
