Prior to joining SRD Legal, Roy was Vice President, Corporate Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for Operations and Technology at Prudential Financial, Inc. and its affiliates where he worked for over 23 years. In that role, he served as senior legal advisor to the Chief Information Officer and to the Head of Operations and directed all legal work pertinent to the operations and systems of the Company, including technology, strategic non-technology vendors, outsourcing (ITO and BPO), intellectual property and real estate. In addition to managing and handling all such legal work, he provided support to the General Counsel in various strategic legal initiatives, including law firm management and optimization of the provision of legal services to the Company.

Prior to joining Prudential, Roy practiced information technology law and intellectual property law for almost 12 years at MetLife.

Roy received a BA degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 1982; and a J.D. degree, Cum Laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 1985.
